A New Humanities Building Opens For Harlan Independent Schools

One eastern Kentucky school district is opening its doors to a brand new facility for its music program.

Harlan Independent Schools have a brand new humanities building. It houses rehearsal halls for the band and choral programs especially designed with acoustics in mind.

“When you look at the design…very different. It's designed specifically for a music program so we feel pretty good about what we ended up with,” says David Johnson of Harlan Independent Schools.

The new building did cost Harlan Independent money of course. They didn't, however, have to pay a dime for a new piano that was donated.
