Floyd County man indicted on drug charges

A Floyd County man is charged in federal court for allegedly selling drugs and putting the money in a local bank.

49-year-old Julian Irick Junior, formerly of Toler Creek, was indicted on charges of distributing a variety of prescription drugs and money laundering.

Court documents say Irick allegedly sold pills in Pike County from June of last year through February.

Then he allegedly deposited the money in a safe deposit box at Community Trust Bank.

Investigators say he had 127-thousand dollars at the bank.

Irick pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In 2007, Floyd County sheriff's deputies seized hundreds of pills at his house and called it one the largest drug busts in county history.
