“Yeah, I lost my breathe on that last pass,” says Janet Sizemore, as she shops for UK Gear
UK beats crosstown rival Louisville, forty to thirty four. How big is this win? Well, its always good to beat that crosstown rival but its been thirty years since UK has won against a top ten team, they did it in nineteen seventy seven against Penn State and UK and the Big Blue Nation is all a buzz here in eastern Kentucky. Here's what they had to say about the historic win.
UK fan Connie Fields says, “I’ve never seen a game where you were literally sitting on the edge of your seat every play because it wasn't over until it was over.”
“Kentucky was really in control the whole game, there was a period there where they were down but Louisville just couldn't stop them their drives and I was impressed with the turnout,” says UK fan Steve Collins.
“UK just kept fighting back and fighting back and fighting back and it was just awesome, I’ve never scene anything like it and I’ve watched a lot of football games,” says Fields.
“first time in thirty years UK beat a ranked team it was good to see them beat an instate team,” says Collins.
