Plane Crashes In Chattanooga Parking Lot; Four In Plane Injured

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Three officials of a Lexington
electrical contracting company escaped serious injury in a plane
crash at Chattanooga last night.

The identities of the executives were confirmed by John
Dougherty, the project manager for Amteck of Kentucky.

Company owner Ron Turner is reported in guarded condition this
morning at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Company
president Darren Turner and Ron Turner's brother in law Louis
Mullins are listed in fair condition.

The pilot's name was not immediately available.

Authorities said the private plane crashed in the parking lot of
a shopping center as it prepared to land at Chattanooga
Metropolitan Airport.

The plane clipped a telephone pole before crashing into an
unoccupied car near the Brainerd Village Shopping Center. Witnesses
said the plane careened off at least three cars after hitting the
pole.
