Two former employees report sexual abuse at Hazard Nursing Home

An Eastern Kentucky nursing home is under scrutiny after reports of one resident sexually abusing another within view of staff members.

The Lexington Herald Leader reports 88-year-old Mae Campbell was sexually abused twice while living at the Hazard Nursing Home.

Two former nursing home employees reported the abuse. They say Campbell, who has Alzheimer's disease, was sitting in the hallway of the home last year when a male resident violated her.

The pair claims it happened in sight of several staff members and a nursing supervisor.

Campbell no longer lives at the facility.
