A coal truck accident in Perry County partially blocked a road for several hours Friday.
The accident happened just after three Friday morning on Kentucky 1146 in the Lost Creek area. The Ridgewood Trucking Company truck went off the side of the road, spilling its load of all over the side of the road and over an embankment.
This is the same road where a mine was indicted for allegedly making the road dangerous because of mud on the road. Police say water wasn't a factor.
"I asked him what basically happened and he said that he was coming down the hill and his truck had gotten away from him," said Kentucky State Police Trooper Ira Napier.
The driver wasn't injured in the accident, although he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
