HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Folks in Hazard braved the rain Saturday afternoon for a Perry County summertime tradition.
Saturday marked the 9th year for Summer in the Park, held at Bobby Davis Park in Hazard.
Kids of all ages could enjoy a wide range of crafts and activities, including a workshop for making Hazard's famous tiny doors.
Above all, organizers say the event serves to showcase local artists and craftspeople.
"... but also to sell their work without having to pay booth fees or commissions," explained organizer Terry Thies. "When the artist sells something at summer in the park the artist keeps every dime of it."
People could also take in a show by the Little Theatre of Hazard, which is currently in its 60th season.
