ACT scores steady but show signs of small progress

UNDATED (AP) - Results being released today show a slight increase in the number of students who took the ACT college entrance exam this year who appear ready for college math and science.

But the results also show the average national composite score as unchanged from the previous graduating class. On average, students scored 21.1 out of 36.
