AG: City didn't give adequate notice of a meeting

BENHAM, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials with the Attorney General's Office say the Benham City Council did not give adequate notice of a meeting when a new mayor was appointed.

On November 15th, Shirley Dodd was named the new mayor of Benham, however, officials say the city did not give adequate specificity on the agenda.

Roy Silver took the issue to Attorney general jack Conway's office.

He says the agenda said only that the meeting was being called for personnel and projects.

Mayor Dodd is not sure what action, if any, the city will take.
