The Perry County Fiscal Court has been found in violation of the open records act.
The Hazard Herald reports that a ruling by the attorney general agrees with Lost Creek resident Lloyd Engle.
Engle claims at a regular meeting in March, the fiscal court planned to speak with an engineer about county water projects. When the engineer was not available that morning they planned to meet again that afternoon, which would be considered a special meeting that needs 24 hour notice.
The AG also said the court violated the act by not taking minutes at the meeting.
The fiscal court can appeal the ruling.
