FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Attorney General Jack Conway says his
office is offering a workshop on effective prosecution of drunken
The training is geared for police officers and prosecutors and
will be held Dec. 14-16 at the Hilton Suites in Lexington. Conway
said in a statement Monday that the goal of the seminar is to
"create a team-building approach in the detection, apprehension
and prosecution of impaired drivers."
The statement says increased enforcement has led to a decrease
in alcohol-related traffic fatalities in Kentucky.
The training is funded with grant funds from the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration administered through the
Kentucky Office of Highway Safety.
