Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Coventry Health Care officials will begin negotiations again Friday.
Officials from both met in federal court after previous negotiations had stalled.
The judge told the two companies to try and settle their differences and if they do not then they will schedule a hearing for next week.
Coventry agreed to continue its existing contract with ARH until June 30th while it negotiated for long-term coverage.
Meanwhile, Coventry has called on several other healthcare providers to renegotiate their contracts.
In the past month Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin and Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland have all received letters from the company.
State officials have said if contracts go void they will allow patients to open enroll in other MCO programs.
