A single vehicle crash in Whitley County left one man dead early Saturday morning.

It happened on Black Diamond Road at about 5 a.m.

State police in London say the 2005 Toyota Sienna van travelled off the road and hit a tree head-on.

27-year-old Christopher S. Hamilton of Corbin was driving the vehicle.

Police say Hamilton was not wearing a seat belt.

Police say they suspect alcohol usage as the reason for the crash.

Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner.

State police are still investigating the crash.

They were assisted by the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Whitley County EMS, the Oak Grove Fire Department, and the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
