Airlines, trains and schools shutting down in Northeast

Posted: Fri 6:08 AM, Feb 08, 2013

BOSTON (AP) - A big storm is approaching the Northeast and airlines are being proactive, canceling flights early to try to keep planes, crews and passengers away from snowed-in airports.

Up to two feet of snow is forecast along the densely populated Interstate 95 corridor from the New York City area to Boston and beyond.

Amtrak will suspend trains later today and schools have already closed in many areas.
