A man accused of burglarizing the Harlan Post Office is now in jail.
Jimmy Acelinger allegedly jumped over the counter at the Harlan Post Office and took 850 dollars in cash and then left the scene.
Acelinger was taken into custody by state police during a traffic stop in Bell County.
He was then taken to Pineville Community Hospital because he allegedly took an unknown amount of pills.
Police have been searching for Acelinger for nearly a month.
“We printed off ID line-up and all the witnesses without a doubt pointed out to the suspect, so within 15-20 minutes, we pretty much knew who he was and had warrants ready for him,” Harlan Police Chief Mike Thomas said.
He has since been taken to the Harlan County Detention Center where he's being held on a 10-thousand dollar cash bond.
