Amber Alert cancelled, girl found safe in Ohio

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a young girl police thought might be headed to West Virginia with her non-custodial mother.

Police say nine-year-old Jasmine Bishara was found safe at a Walmart in Columbus, Ohio.

An Amber Alert was issued for Bishara Thursday evening, after she was reported missing from her home in Columbus.

Police say the girl was taken by her mother, Christina Bishara.

Officers were able to locate Bishara's vehicle after receiving a call from someone who spotted it in the Walmart parking lot. That caller had heard the description of the vehicle through the media.

Columbus police say Christine Bishara was having a psychotic episode and had expressed violent tendencies.

She has been taken into custody, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Jasmine Bishara was not hurt.
