MOOREFIELD, W.Va. (AP) - The shutdown of the American Woodmark
Corp. cabinet manufacturing plant in Moorefield will leave more
than 400 people out of work.
The Winchester, Va.-based company announced earlier this week it
was closing the West Virginia cabinet factory, along with a plant
in Perry County, Ky.
The Inter-Mountain (http://bit.ly/tWCC4Q) reported the number of
affected workers Thursday.
The plant is the third-largest employer in Hardy County and was
built in 2003.
The closure date has not been announced.
The Perry County closing will mean more than 150 lost jobs.
