JACSKON, Ky. (WYMT) - An anonymous email sent to several state officials and media outlets brought up an issue with the new interim superintendent for Breathitt County Schools.
The Kentucky Educational and Professional Standards Board's website shows that interim superintendent Larry Woods does not have his certification to be a superintendent.
An official with EPSB says that superintendents must be certified before they accept the position.
Woods, who has been the superintendent in Breathitt County before, told Mountain News that it was an oversight and that he was working to get his certification renewed.
He says he should be certified by Friday.
