Appalachian SPCA spring fling adoption

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Appalachian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals held their spring fling adoption event in Pikeville on Saturday.

Officials say they have several cats and dogs that need homes. The Appalachian SPCA works to save animals in Pike County. They take cats and dogs out of shelters that are in danger of being euthanized and place them in foster homes until they are adopted.

Cathy Maynard, with Appalachian SPCA says, "The perfect time...winter is over, hopefully, so it is just a perfect time to get a pet, bring them home, get them socialized, and get used to them."

All of Appalachian SPCA's animals have been spayed and neutered. They are also up to date on all vaccines and examinations.
