MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A place of fun and games is now a crime scene.
Police in Martin County say a man walked into the Starlight Arcade and held four employees at gunpoint.
Officials say he got away with more than just cash.
An early morning shift at the Starlight Arcade just outside Inez led to a scary few minutes for four employees.
"He come in the door with a gun pointed at them. As soon as he come in the door he jumped over the counter, made one of them give him the keys," said the arcade's owner James Howard.
The robber took the money out of the register. Then he also took a gun that was kept at the arcade.
"I just can't believe that somebody would stoop that low and do something like that," said Howard.
The robber is described as about 6'1", 175 pounds, wearing a black mask and mining pants. They say he left on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
"Don't have a lot of information, but we would thank you if you could give us, anybody that knows anything about it just call us," said Martin County Sheriff Garmon Preece.
The store owner says he never expected anything like this to happen to his arcade.
"I never would have dreamed something like that would have happened here you know this little small town you wouldn't think somebody would do it," said Howard.
He says he is thankful his employees were not harmed, "There wasn't much they could do when somebody's got a gun in your face, so I told them you know money ain't worth nobody's life."
He hopes the robber is caught before anyone else has to experience what they did.
