Arrest made in carjacking case

An arrest has been made after a violent carjacking last month.

Kentucky State Police said 24-year-old Timothy Hughes of Evarts is charged with robbery, assault and theft of a vehicle.
He's being held at the Harlan County Detention Center.

On July 24, Kelley Smith claimed two men walked in front of him while was driving to harlan onU.S. 119 in Wallins.

Smith claimed he was assaulted, threatened with a knife and ordered out of the vehicle after driving to longton road.
