Art and music event at Perry County Public Library

Updated: Fri 6:54 PM, Mar 08, 2013

It's being billed as the most awesome event in Hazard's history. The event, called "The Most Awesome Event in Hazard History" is tomorrow at the Perry County Public Library.

Author Sam Neace helped organize the event and there will be a book signing for his new book "Go, Sam, Go." Pete Turner will have a book signing for his "Whisper" book series.

The event will also feature blues music and an art gallery. All artists and artwork presented at the event will be from Eastern Kentucky.

I think Eastern Kentucky artists are very important and they're not publicized as much as what you see in the larger cities. Anyway we can promote that artwork and musicians, artists, performers. The public library is here to do that," said Elaine Couch, the Director of the Perry County Public Library.

The event starts at noon and lasts until nine tomorrow night.
