Arts center releases records on former director

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - Eastern Kentucky University Center for the Arts has released records pertaining to the departure of its former director after losing a court battle with a newspaper.

The Kentucky attorney general's office ruled in favor of the Lexington Herald-Leader in the newspaper's attempt to see documents related to the resignation last June of Debra Hoskins. Her action came a week after university officials tried to fire her.

Media reported the documents released this week show that there were concerns with several of Hoskins management techniques, including the handling of cash and credit cards, irregular student employment practices and the use of information from a previous employer.

The documents weren't made public at first due to a confidentiality agreement between Hoskins and the school.
