Ashland gets ready for Sunday alcohol sales

ASHLAND, Ky. (WYMT)- City commissioners in Ashland plan to allow alcohol sales in restaurants in the city on Sundays.

The Ashland City Commission met for the first time Thursday since last week's vote to allow Sunday sales of alcohol. There were 159 votes in favor of alcohol sales and 50 votes against it. City commission meets again in two weeks for the second reading of the ordinance, making Sunday sales official.
