LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Actress and Kentucky native Ashley Judd is being touted as a top contender to challenge Senator Mitch McConnell in the 2014 election.
Democratic Congressman John Yarmuth of Louisville told the Courier-Journal that he believes it would be the nation's quote "Premiere" race and the money would pour in for her.
Whether Judd is seriously considering a bid remains unclear.
She's said in the past that she might one day seek public office but has said nothing about her interest in the U.S. Senate seat.
Judd currently lives in Tennessee but could move back to her home state and qualify to run at any time.
