Police are investigating an alleged assault in Clay County.
Police say it started as fight at a home on Curry Branch Road Tuesday night.
Investigators determined that 40-year old Jamie Abner was at 36-year old Roy Wagers' house when the fight started.
Police say Abner stabbed Wagers with a knife.
Wagers then got a gun and allegedly shot Abner.
Both men were taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.
A grand jury will consider possible charges.
