Former UK basketball player Michael Porter arrested

A former UK basketball player is charged with sexual abuse.

Michael Porter last played for UK in 2009.

An arrest citation shows Porter is charged with sexual abuse and sodomy involving a minor.

Court documents show on two separate occasions, Porter gave and received oral sex from a 14-year-old whom police say he met as a group leader at a church function.

A separate document alleges the same type of crime happened involving a 15-year-old.

Lexington Police confirm the victims in both cases are the same girl.

Police say the crimes happened in 2009 and 2010.

Porter entered a plea of not guilty in Fayette District Court on Tuesday afternoon.

He was being held on a $22,000 bond, but the judge agreed to release him from jail to a third party.

Porter was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and not to leave the state of Kentucky. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the victim

Porter is due back in court on June 4th at 8:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
