CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - A newborn at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin is one of the first babies born in the new year in Eastern Kentucky.
Bentley Colten Messer was born at 1:34 a.m. on January 1st, 2013.
Mother Brandi Messer said he was due on December 29th, so Messer was hoping for a New Year's baby when he missed the due date.
She told WYMT she is excited to have the first baby of the new year in Corbin.
"It feels good, I'm proud. It's the best New Year's I've ever had," Messer said.
Mother and baby could go home to Flat Lick as early as Wednesday.
