BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The road into Bell Central School is slipping, and now education officials have declared it an emergency.
The road is the only entrance and exit to the elementary school.
School officials say the road has fallen several inches in the past month and say it gets worse by the week.
"Our board and superintendent are very concerned. When you've got bus traffic going over that are day in, day out with 50 kids on each bus, there's a concern there," said Jeff Saylor with Bell County Schools.
They are not sure what is causing it. An engineering company is evaluating it.
Crews hope to start testing and making repairs soon.
