Beshear, Abramson head to damaged counties

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear and other state
officials will be traveling again Wednesday to visit locations in
eastern Kentucky damaged in last week's deadly tornadoes and severe
storms.
Beshear will go to Menifee, Morgan and Laurel counties. Lt. Gov.
Jerry Abramson will head to Lawrence and Johnson counties. They
were in West Liberty, Salyersville, Piner and East Bernstadt on
Saturday.
Beshear's office said damage assessment teams are visiting sites
in several of the affected counties. The teams include
representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency as
well as state and local emergency management officials.
Several lawmakers will also make the trip Wednesday as well as
representatives of the Division of Emergency Management and the
Kentucky National Guard.
