Big Sandy road crews prep for snow

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Road crews in the Big Sandy region are preparing for more snow in several counties that are under a winter storm warning.

Snow fell off and on throughout much of the afternoon but took a while to stick.

Road crews say they have been out pre-treating and keeping an eye out for any slick spots.

They expect conditions to get worse overnight.

"It stuck just a little but not much. Temperatures are up. It's not sticking all that good right now, so when it drops tonight it probably will," said Randy Hall with Highway District 12.

Crews say they have plenty of salt and brine to keep the roads treated and will be watching overnight as the snow showers continue.
