Blood donations needed

Some area hospitals are in need of blood donations after Friday's storms.

Officials with Kentucky Blood Center held a blood drive at Johnson Central High School today.
They say there are more people in need after the storms, and the hospitals can't keep up.
Officials say donating blood is one way of giving back to those affected by the storms that most people don't think oF.

"Giving blood is an option. If you've not got any medical problems, giving blood is one of you greatest options because we need have to have so much right now," said Patty Coleman of Kentucky Blood Center.

Officials say the blood type they need the most is O negative.
