The father of the 11-year-old girl killed in the Graves County buggy crash is now talking about the events that led up to the deaths of four children. Samuel Wagler says his brother and sister-in-law took their six children out to eat and to call their grandfather who lives in Missouri. Wagler's daughter Elizabeth joined her cousins and was planning to stay with the family for the night. They tried crossing a creek less than a mile from their home.
Search and rescue crews found the bodies of a five-month-old, five-year-old, and seven-year-old within a few hours of the wreck. They found the family's cousin, the 11-year-old girl, Friday morning.
"This is not the ending that we'd hoped for, but then again we can say that we now know that she's home. We have found her body. And her parents aren't gonna have to wonder every night when they go to bed where she is, if she's still out there," says Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon.
