Rounds of heavy rain will begin to move into the area later tonight, leading to the increased potential for flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from now through Thursday and a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tomorrow. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will drop and transition our rain to sleet and eventually to snow. Most of the area could see several inches of snow and sleet before it's all said and done. Keep it locked right here for updates.
A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for the customers of Route 2031 at Big Elk Tank to the intersection of Route 2031 and Route 292. Approximately 75 customers are affected due to this Boil Water Advisory.
This Advisory has been issued due to the following reason: Contractors having to relocate a section of main line for the Department of Highway having to replace a drain.
Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply; therefore this boil water advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes before using.
This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected, and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.
