Breathitt County man sentenced to two months in jail in federal vote buying case

A Breathitt County man will be spend 60 days in prison after he pleaded guilty to federal vote buying charges.

Michael Salyers was a candidate in a 2010 magistrates race when he and seven others were charged in a vote buying scheme.

Naomi Johnson, Jackie Jennings and Earl Young, who are listed on a separate indictment, will all be sentenced on July 26th.

Former Breathitt County Superintendent Arch Turner's trial is set to begin at the end of July.
