Two people were arrested Thursday, charged with the murder of 58-year old Steven Gibson. He was found dead in his Harlan home last week, after neighbors called police for a welfare check.

One of those charged is Gibson's cousin.

Yellow crime scene tape is still outside the home where Steven Gibson's body was found.

"My brother was an innocent man. He never bothered anyone," said James Gibson, his brother.

Gibson said his baby brother never said a bad word about anybody.

"We're going to try and get our lives together and go forward with this," said Gibson.

Thursday Kentucky State Police charged Timothy Turner and Rachel Osborne with murder, robbery, kidnapping, and other charges.

"That is my oldest sister's granddaughter,"said Gibson.

Neighbors called police last Thursday when they noticed a window was open at Gibson's house.

That's when they made a grisly find.

Police believe Gibson's body had been inside his home since May 10th.

James Gibson said the family will come together and remember the good times with their brother Steven.

"God Bless his soul. I've taken care of everything for him. He was my baby brother," said Gibson.

Both Turner and Osborne are being held in the Harlan County Detention Center.

The case is being handed over to the grand jury.

A visitation and memorial service for Steven Gibson was held this afternoon in Harlan.
