Sarah Melton is on trial in Perry County for murder and attempted murder.

Prosecutors are trying to prove she intentionally shot her own brother and killed his girlfriend all over a property dispute.

The prosecution called several witnesses to the stand in an effort to piece together the events that led up to the shooting.

Kenneth Couch says Sarah Melton, Bill Couch, and Cindy Caudill were all at his house the afternoon of the crime when an altercation occurred between the three.

Kenneth Couch says Bill Couch and Cindy Caudill left on a 4 wheeler followed by Melton just a few minutes after.

"She said i am going to leave i am going to go do both of them." Kenneth Couch said from the stand.

According to another witness, Melton was seen driving down the road towards Couch and Caudill when she stopped her vehicle and fired her shotgun, killing Cindy Caudill and injuring Bill Couch

"I was shot in the back and in the back of the head." says Bill Couch.

Couch claims the injuries he sustained has led to numerous head and brain problems, including memory loss about that day nearly 1 year ago.

The trial will continue Wednesday morning at 9.
