Businessman enters no contest plea on sexual battery charges

A businessman with ties to Southeastern Kentucky and Tennessee has pleaded no contest to sexual battery charges.

The Corbin Times Tribune reports 64 year old Robert Moore entered the motion Monday in Campbell County, Tennessee.

Moore was at one time charged with multiple counts of rape of a child and sexual battery of a minor, but those charges were dropped with the no contest plea.

Moore denied the original indictment against him, saying a fired employee was making false accusations against him.

Moore is a co-owner of the Beltone Hearing and Audiology Center in Corbin.

He also operates Beltone franchises in Somerset and LaFollette, Tennessee.

Moore still faces charges on an unrelated attempted rape case.
