WYMT Severe Weather Alert

We're tracking the possibility of more storms rolling through today, with some of them being strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area under a slight risk for severe weather through this evening. The main threats at this point look to be wind and hail. We will continue to monitor the situation and update you as needed.

California fugitive arrested in Kentucky

Kentucky State Police say they have caught up with a fugitive.

A trooper was at an I-64 weigh station in Rowan County when he noticed 47-year-old Kerry Minor was wanted by authorities in California.

The trooper was inspecting vehicles at the time.

Investigators in Los Angeles had charged Minor with assault with a deadly weapon.

Minor is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
