Campsite argument ends in deadly shooting

An argument at a campsire ended with a deadly shooting in Pulaski County.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says 50 year old Carl "Ricky" Smittle, Jr. shot 34 year old Eric Scott Pitman after the two began arguing on the banks of Fishing Creek in the Oil Center area.

Pitman died at the scene. His body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.

Smittle is in jail, and charged with murder.
