Candidates are set for special election

The candidates are set for next month’s special election to fill the 16th District State Senate seat left vacant by David Williams.

Bill Conn of Williamsburg was chosen by democrats during a meeting in Monticello.

Conn is an elementary school teacher.

Meanwhile, Pure Politics is reporting State Representative Sara Beth Gregory of Monticello won the GOP nomination, defeating Clinton County lawyer David Cross.

The special election is December 18th.
