Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) -- Anyone living in the Big Branch area of Perry County between Viper and Joe's Hardware needs to boil their water.
A boil water advisory was put into effect Monday morning after a tractor trailer flipped over into a ditch and broke a water line on Route 7.
As a result, some people in the area were without water for a few hours and now are being asked to boil their water for at least a couple days.
Route 7 was closed for part of Monday as crews worked to remove the truck from the road.
Those driving in the area were rerouted to avoid traffic backups.
Perry County Sheriff's Officers say only one vehicle was involved in the accident and the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
