Car wreck leads to DUI charge and suspect being tasered

A car wreck leads to a DUI arrest and the suspect being tasered.

Tuesday night, A KSP Vehicle Enforcement officer responded to the wreck on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Laurel County, just east of London.

Once there, the officer noticed a strong alcohol smell on the driver.

When the officer asked the driver to perform a field sobriety test, he allegedly spit on and grabbed the officer, forcing him to use his taser on the man.

Police arrested 41 year old John Nolan and charged him with a number of crimes, including menacing, resisting arrest and DUI.

He is scheduled to be in court January 3rd.
