A new center is opening in Bell County to help folks get their lives back on track.
The Lighthouse Career Training Center is in the old Bell County Vocational Building.
A new thrift store is raising money to go towards job training classes.
All of the proceeds go to helping those either on welfare or formerly in jail find a job.
“Felt like that would be the next step for those getting out of rehab to those coming out of prison or those that just need a second chance. A way to provide for them to get that in the community,” Director Sharon Teaney said.
Classes starting in August include computer, carpentry, and cosmetology courses.
The thrift store is already open.
The store and career center run only on donations.
