Caregiver pleads not guilty to murder charge

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - An eastern Kentucky woman accused of killing a man she was supposed to be caring for says she is "Not Guilty" of murder.

49-year old Charlene Sue King of Barbourville entered a not guilty plea Tuesday.

She is charged in the death of 75-year old Earl Carter.

King, the victim's caregiver, called police to report the shooting and said Carter was "trying to take advantage of her."
