PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - The annual carnival at Archer Park in Prestonsburg is underway.
Park officials say the rides open at 5 p.m. each day leading up to the July 4th celebration.
The carnival includes a ferris wheel, carousel, carnival games, food vendors, and much more.
Park Manager Richie Schoolcraft says, "We have had Drew Carnivals at Archer Park for many years, they are always here for our 4th of July celebration. It brings people in from all over Eastern Kentucky. Normally, we are the only carnival for several miles and the fireworks are one of the biggest within miles of Prestonsburg."
Officials say the carnival will stay open until at least 10 o'clock each night depending on the crowd.
Fireworks will be set off on July 4th.
