HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - The case of a Knott County man, charged with shooting and killing his girlfriend’s father, will not go to trial.
Officials tell us a motion was made to dismiss the case against Dillion Cornett.
The motion was upheld without prejudice, meaning if sufficient evidence was found the case could be reopened.
Police say Cornett shot and killed Donnie Gibson after an argument in the Pinetop community back in June.
