Cats prepare for game against the Cards

Indianapolis, Indiana - It's more than bragging rights. A trip to the Elite Eight is on the line.

The Cats and Cards are set to square off Friday night in the Sweet 16.

It is destined to be a great game, as the previous two National Champions battle it out in Indianapolis.

Kentucky is preparing to take on rival Louisville in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Cats and Cards will square off Friday night around 9:45 in Indianapolis.

The big game is not until Friday night...but each team got the chance today to take the floor here at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Wildcats practiced on the court where Friday night they will play their biggest rival...a Louisville team that impresses Coach Cal.

UK's Head Coach John Calipari says, "They're playing really good basketball. Everybody has settled into what they have to do for their team. They're playing extremely hard and playing with great energy".

Kentucky defeated Number-one seed Wichita State in the round of 32...and the Cats are looking to keep that momentum against Louisville.

"We've just committed to each other on both ends of the floor. Our chemistry is a lot better and we listen to coach. He's made our roles really simple".

"They're bigger but we're a little bit quicker. I think how well they have been playing you can tell in their system they have made great strides."
