Center opening in Wolfe County for storm aid

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - People who suffered losses and other hardships in the storms and tornadoes a month ago can find assistance at a disaster recovery center opening in Wolfe County.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency says the center is at Hazel Green Fire Department in Hazel Green and will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT Monday through Saturday.

FEMA representatives are at the center along with people from the Small Business Administration, Kentucky State Unemployment Services and other agencies to explain assistance programs and help people apply for aid. Some assistance is also available at centers in other counties.
