Changes coming to Division of Forestry

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Major changes are coming to the Kentucky Division of Forestry.

The Courier Journal reports nine field offices will be reduced to five.

Staffing will also be shuffled around and reduced some due to financial problems.

Officials say it could take longer to get to fires and the state might have to rely on local crews more.
